Well I guess this puts the argument to rest over counting calories vs watching the nutritional value of your food...

I never really knew there was an argument when it came to losing weight. I can eat 1600 calories of ice cream but that will only give me like 3 cups of my favorite Vanilla Swiss Almond.

Hah, yup. I lost a bunch of weight just by paying attention to the caloric value of the things I was eating. Didn't give up candy bars or bacon cheeseburgers, just dialed it all back about 20%.

Weight loss is simple. It's difficult, sure, but it isn't complicated as some of the crazy diet fads would have you believe.

I've long thought that I should write "The Cookie Diet" and make millions. Replace one meal a day with two fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies (that counts as your dessert too). You'd loose weight and keep on the diet because it's awesome!

There's nothing wrong with eating "bad" food, even on a diet, as long as you compensate for it. If you're the kind of person who needs dessert (like me), then just replace a meal with dessert. As long as you eat healthy the rest of the time to compensate, it's perfectly fine and adds to your mental health as well!
