I've been trying to come up with some ideas for the contest... I think I have a plan, but from what I've seen so far, going to be a hard to compete with some entries, already!

I think it might be a random drawing perhaps?? Some are pretty good otherwise.
I think it's gonna be judged. I think Saka, Johnny, and JDrew & crew are going to pick the winner out of all the entries.

I finally have my idea all finalized. Now, just to try to do it!!! :halfgrinw

I picked up a few last night and tried one. The one I had needed a little down time. the wrapper was still a little wet and resisted the burn. With some regular maintenance it smoked OK. It started tunneling initially, probably due to the wrapper being a little wet. There was one part of the filler that didn't want to burn either. A little time for the materials to obtain uniform humidity should really help.

When it was burning well, I got some really good, distinctive flavors of dark chocolate and espresso combined with nice rich meaty and sweet tobacco flavor. When it wasn't burning well the flavors were more muttled (muted? muddied?)

My preference last night was for the #9 pig which burned perfectly with no touch ups and had similar flavors but not as sweet or rich. I could easily imagine the T52 becoming a better smoke, but it wasn't there yet.
