Smoked a T-Rex last night. Superb cigar from beginning to end! Full bodied and quite strong. Today I smoked "The Face." A nice cigar as well, but surprisingly mild - to my taste the mildest Tat I have smoked. It did not impress me the way the T-Rex did. Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Discuss.

Haven't had a chance to put fire to a B-Rex yet, but I hope it is similar to the Pork Tenderloin. I really enjoy the face. Great flavor profile and excellent burning stick. I'm glad I have a few of both.

Smoked a Face today, and I think they are going to be really good in a year. Right now they are sort of muddy and undefined. Everything needs some time to mesh.

I have had a similar experience with the last few 7th Reservas I've smoked.

Haven't had a B-Rex yet.

Love the Face, had about a box so far.
Rex, had first one today. Wasn't super excited about it. I'll let them rest. It does remind me of the T110 which I dont like much.

Pretty much the same experience as boltonic, really enjoyed the Face.
Smoked 2 of them to be sure :ccool: then grabbed a 5er from a friend.

Smoked a B-rex yesterday and it pretty much kicked me in the teeth, not that I didnt enjoy it.
I have a few more of them, I will try to space them out a bit and see how the are with some age.

Cant say I have not had either of them.
Some of the other above have made comparisons to T110 & PTL. Both I have had and enjoyed very much! Of the two I would say I like the PTL the best.

I love'em both. Like others are saying the Barclay Rex cigar is stronger than the Face, and the flavor profiles are different enough to make them both interesting to me.

I smoked a Rex and Face yesterday. The Rex starts out nice but the final third was a bit harsh for me. The Face was mild throughout with very nice flavors. Give them some time!

Have one of each resting in the humidor, look forward to putting fire to both. From what I've read thus far it seems like you're comparing apples to oranges. Yeah they're both fruit, but completely different at the same time. :dunno:

have not had the Rex. Will hopefully trade for one or two down the road sounds like I should have jumped on this given my love of the T110.

The Face is smoking great right now IMO. Can't wait to see how they change over time. Had a Rex the other night. Really loved the first half...strong, great flavor. But the second half disappeared. I think it needs some down time, but clearly showed that it is the PTs big bro.

I thought that the Rex was amazing, with a ton of leather and spice - it was exactly what a special edition should be. The Face was nice, but quite mild and bready. perhaps the two got mixed at the nursery...
