Hey Ron,

A couple of questions for you:

I have a Cigar Oasis XL Plus and they recommend that you change the foam out every 3-4 months. Is that necessary? The foam cartridges cost about 18 per and buying one every 3-4 could add up. How long could I keep them for?

Also, I have been doing some research on humidors and I still can't find why Elie Bleu is so expensive. I've gone to their website and visited a few different sources...but nothing. They use veneer and spanish cedar doesn't cost that much...are people just paying for the name?

Have you seen or gone through an Elie Bleu in person?

Stunningly beautiful and excellent craftsmanship. If I was rolling in it I would have one for

Tats, Liga, Viaje, Opus, and one for Boli, Monti, HDM, Trini, and Cohibas

And no, I am not kidding.

A man can dream, can't he?

I work at a Cigar Shop in Chicago and have gone through, handled, sold, and even had one for a few weeks, but I still can't understand why they cost 4500 to hold 100 cigars and why hasn't anyone else penetrated the market? They do make very nice humidors.

you do not add pg to the distilled water, so thats why you could get mold, so just keep an eye on the foam. how bout taking the cartridge apart, and just replacing the foam?

Elie's are nice, but too much $ in my eyes.
