Funny. While I agree that many ppl use 2 mny abbrevs - it gets very annoying, very quickly. That said, I've come to terms with & have accepted 'lol' & 'rofl' as necessary indicators of tone when sending a quick text, pm or email to someone. I often abbreviate, but nothing like this:

I still like to use "hahaha" as opposed to "lol"

Only abbreviation I use from the list is 'peeps', but I do it in person.

Oh I understand it alright... And using modernizations in speech are okay, but some of the TXT stuff is truly silly...

I hear you. I especially can't stand it when people use it in actual speech. I work with someone that instead of laughing actually says "LOLz" phonetically and "O-M-G"
