I called this back in September. Nevada is good but I think Boise may have got caught up in the hype of this, non the less it is a loss. I want TCU to get into the BCS game, they are a great team this year.

The only so-called "good" team they've beaten was Utah... and as you can see Utah isn't any good!

Wisconsin vs Utah or Wisconsin vs Stanford? How can you not say the latter is the game that should be played? Put Utah in the Pac-10, Big 10, SEC, etc. they lose AT LEAST 2 games. Same for Boise State. These teams should be thankful they're even in the BCS picture, not complaining they're not in the title game.

Fine, let TCU play Wisconsin and get destroyed. Then hopefully they won't be ranked ridiculously high in the pre-season rankings next year. TCU may be a good team this year, but they haven't proven they're one of the countries best just because they haven't lost...they haven't really played anyone tough.

rant:eek:ver lol.

Watch the FG again in slow motion. The angle the ball goes into the net, I think, could only mean the kick was good. Those low goal posts are terrible...Not to mention, how do you NOT review that!

I thought it was good as well - barely. But agree that there was no sort of argument from Boise, and I was happy with the outcome, so no complaints here.

Looked to be an old fashioned Boise blowout, but Nevada has come roaring back in the 2nd half 24-21 right now. As a Fresno St. fan, I hate Boise... go Nevada!
I am east coast. I fell asleep on the couch and woke up in time to watch the 4th quarter and the overtime.

I was pulling for Nevada, but did feel for Boise's kicker.

FOlks need to let the bias go. There is an East Coast, Big School bias. Plain and simple. Boise lost that game. Nevada didn't beat them. Nevada is a good team with a great quarterback. BOise, just like every other college team plays easy teams and good teams. Fact, Boise has put invitations out there for every major school to play them 2 for 1. That means the other school plays them once on Boise's field and twice on their own field. No one accepts. Teams are afraid to play Boise.

Fact 2. Shit talkers like the President of Ohio State have no clue. They say Boise played no one any good this year. Well, Oregon State is for real. The hookies have been undefeated since their first two games and are in contention. Nevada is for real. Hawaii is for real. Should I look at OHio States schedule. Kent State, really? Eastern Michigan? Wow those are hard teams.

Should I keep going. Easy to talk smack about a school that cannot control which teams they play. Perhaps some of the "Big Colleges" should let Boise in to find out how good they are or aren't.

Congrats Nevada. As for the Boise Kicker, two attempts to win and you shank both. Really? Boise played well this season and I venture to say they will be back in the hunt again next year.

Bottom line is we all have our favorite teams. We rout for them, cheer for the other teams to loose so our team can go farther in the big games. I am a die hard Boise fan. My daughter goes there and I am extremely proud of how they play football. You don't hear about scandals involving their players raping women, drunken parties, etc. They have a coach that instills repect, leadership, integrity, fairness. Maybe some others should take Note.

I couldn't agree more about the east coast bias, and about big schools not wanting to play Boise. I understand why most big schools wouldn't want to play a Boise type team though considering all the tough opponents they have in their conference (SEC, BIG Ten, 12 etc.) Most of those schedules are brutal! This is why we'll never know until/if there's ever a playoff system. However, next year Boise gets to open against Georgia in Atlanta, so they'll get to prove their stature right out of the gate next year.

I agree that Boise is a well coached, talented team, and they do things right there. If I didn't live in Fresno and root for the Bulldogs (along with Penn ST - my true team) I would be rooting for Boise. But since they kick the living tar out of us every year, I can't stand them  but respect them.

Now fact 2 I disagree a bit. Yes, Oregon ST., V Tech, and Nevada are good teams, but Hawaii (away from home) is not much of an opponent. Ohio St. does have some cupcakes on their schedule, but their conference schedule is tougher than Boise's entire schedule put together, and they did play Mia Fl as a non conference game too. Not defending Oh. St. as I can't stand them either, just my two pennies.

BTW - the most exciting game I've seen was when Boise came back to be Oklahoma in the ____ bowl.

Boise is scheduled to play Michigan State in a home and home, too.

Really? Wow. TCU can and would beat a lot of teams out there, Utah is going to the PAC next year and they will hold there own. Remember a few years ago when Utah embarrassed Alabama in the Sugar Bowl? I do.

TCU is just as deserving as anyone else out there. They go out every week and do what they are supposed to, win. That is hard to do in every conference out there. Give them there well deserved shot and they will prove it.

Nevada beat Boise. Yeah, the kicker missed 2 field goals. Why? Because of the pressure. If the score were Boise 51 - Nevada 3, would he have missed those? I doubt it. Nevada put the pressure on by scoring. Boise didn't just say, "Here Nevada. You can have 31 points. No, no. I insist." Nevada put those points on the board by playing hard and fast. Boise didn't beat themselves.

How DO you review it? I don't think they have cameras directly underneath each side of the uprights, so there's no way to overturn the official's call. Besides, the kicker didn't make any motions like he made the kick and certainly he didn't look shocked by the call.

I heard the Boise State kicker tried to hang himself after the game...but couldn't kick the chair out from underneath him.

TCU GOING TO THE BIG EAST NEXT YEAR!!!!
i went there for 3 semesters and still claim them as my team...pretty pumped.
