Thanks Jack! that means a lot!!
Read your longer post above again...

Sounds like your Doc is doing what he feels is best for your little girl. Definitely have her in my prayers and you and your wife. I can only imagine the stress that's coming from it.

I pray she's healthy and happy and you three have a great, easily delivery and first Christmas together as the three of you.

That reminds me of something I heard on the radio recently. The man speaking is a man who has written some child-rearing books and he said something to the effect of: "yes, you may have been their age before, but you weren't their age today; keep in mind things are much different now than when you were their age."

That's one of those tidbits that has just stuck around, and I hope to put it to good use!

As I told you in my email...You'll never experience another thing on this Earth like it. It is single most beautiful moment of one's life.

Deep breath, you'll do fine. No one has written a manual for this stuff and no matter what they say, even the experts don't have all the answers. It's fun, scary, demanding, frustrating, and much, much more. And what Hendy haid is true, at least you'll have an appointment for the delivery. My wife went a week over and was in mild labor for a day and a half before being admitted to the hospital...she doesn't handle pain well...it wasn't fun. Prayers and best wishes.

You will do just fine brother. I have never been a father myself. That was my choice do to fear that the Gulf War would effect the baby. I know they never proved it but they did do studies about it. With that being said I am a proud Papa of 3 lovely granddaughter that live with us. It has been the most wonderful experience in my life. They get excited when I come home sit on my lap and take naps with Papa. You will just do fine my brother I have the up most faith in you. Keep us posted I am excited for you. I wish I could have experience father hood myself. I am a proud step father though.

Fathers have this special place we go to in our minds. When we first met our wives the romance, the announcement and finally the birth. It is a cherished place. We add to the memories as our children grow and thrive. May the Lord bless you and your wife with happiness, health and a God centered family. There actually is a manual and I know you have it. It has helped me throught the trials and the joys of fatherhood and it will do the same for you.
