Don't wanna sound like a grinch, but decorating is such a PITA. I do love Christmas and have 2 little ones so no choice but to grin and bear it.

Last weekend I put the lights up on the house and my legs were killing me all week from going up and down the ladder. Today was Christmas tree day and i always get frustrated putting the lights on the damn tree. Who came up with the idea of bringing the outside in and then hanging crap on it ;) Anyone else decorating yet?

Guarantee I'm one of the laziest SOB's on the board when it comes to this too.

I left my lights up from last year (I call them 'smoking lights' in the offseason and they cast a nice blue light on my patio) and we have a pre-lit artificial tree that is operated by remote control...lol

best $299 I ever spent man. If I could get one that came with the decorations already attached I would (but really, the kids put on everything but the angel anyway...)

I too disdain the ritualism and all. I was just telling the wifey today, "With the economy being what it is, the fact that we have seen our income reduced by 5, 10 and now 15% over the last three years (I work for the State...) Hell, I do not want to fork over what we can spend for Christmas to PG&E. And while I know it is not about gifts, try explaining that to your children and grandchildren.

Simply put, I hate it. So I will be doing it next Furlough Friday!
