Bolivar Petit Corona - FEB 2007
Length: 5 1/8"
Ring: 42
Smoked: 11/3/10
Sat down in front of the east river to enjoy this one. It's been quite some time since I've had one, and I was curious as to how they were coming along.
The cigar started off cedary with a mild, peppery spice along with undertones of cocoa and a slight tartness. It pretty much stays like this until close to the half way point.
The cigar produced plenty of thick smoke. It was cool, smooth, and never harsh. Eventually, I got tired of staring at the water and finished smoking with a walk in the brisk NY evening.
After the halfway point, the spice kicked up in intensity a bit. I was still getting cedar notes, leather, cocoa, and that slight tartness. It started developing a slightly bitter finish.
Here's my phone's terrible night shot of the finale. Overall, it was a good smoke. Seems it still needs more time. I remember them better back when they fresh (that and half the cab is already missing). It's back to hibernating for the rest of the cab.
