Concrete Table help?

Anyone here own one of these? We are looking to get one for our dining table but can't find anything locally.

something along the lines of this

I was thinking of finding someone who could fabricate the base and then have a concrete place do the top. Any ideas?

I've never heard of these until now but its a fairly neat idea, I've probably eaten off one before just not having realized it. Quick search reveals a bunch of DIY vids on youtube so it sounds like you are already on the right track.

I took a concrete countertop class a few years ago. It's really pretty easy for most with some construction skills. PM me if you want more info. From what it looks like you're more interested in buying, not building.

Ha, I'm kind of a perfectionist so unless I can build it and it look perfect, yeah I would pay for it. I guess I need to look into that type of class.

Man I would love one of these, bu tmine would be trimmed out like a sidewalk. Broom texture and trowelled smooth edges. It would be like eating of the curb.
