That's the least of the boxes problems. The box is missing the comma between "Habana" and "Cuba".
No doubt. That's the least of the boxes problems.
The year says 2004, the cigars also have the 3 caps on the end. I hope i didnt get duped. What year do those say on the EL band?
These were an EL for 2004 and they didn't start putting bar code serial numbers on boxes until last year is why I ask.
Actually, they claim that they can't differentiate and "have to" confiscate anything that claims to be Cuban. What is rediculous about it all, of course, is that ATF/Customs claims that something like 90% of all Cubans in the US are fakes ... if that is the case, then why are they sending mean letters to people for getting these cigars, if the chances are they are fakes? It can't be illegal to buy a Mexican cigar that pretends to be Cuban, can it?no wonder they made it through customs. These boxes are not in violation of the trade embargo.
I'm afraid it doesn't look good. The other guys here are much better at these kinds of things than I, but even I think those boxes look very suspect. As Ben pointed out, the price on the "real" ones is extremely high, so if you got these for a lot less, then that's your final evidence. If it were me, I'd demand a refund ASAP.The year says 2004, the cigars also have the 3 caps on the end. I hope i didnt get duped.
This is one of the most faked cigars on the market, and an extremely hard box to find. If found it would retail upwards of $1,500-$2,000 give or take. Couple that with the bar code seal, the heavy varnished box, the missing comma etc. and the fact you have 3 of them most probably from Mexico based on your location I'd unfortunately say you were duped. The year says 2004, the cigars also have the 3 caps on the end. Yes they are, you just have to be able to appriciate it:smokingbo Sad thing is this just happens to be my favorite cigar. You know what I´ll be smoking on my wedding. That sux! I would ask for my money back from the vendor even though it's prolly a lost cause. Smoking fake cigars is prolly not good with what they put in some of these things i.e. hairs and rodent crap. I hope you didn't drop more that $400 per box? Before buy any EL cigar that is as HTF as the sublimes always ask questions. I only know of 1 vendor that has these and they are not worth that kinda money unless you are a collector.
Glad it all worked out. Best of luck with your search! Thanks guys. Vendor offered refund, now i need to find a trusted source. Any help please PM me. Thanks
Wow. I am pretty surprised by that.Vendor offered refund.
