I like Trinidad a lot, but have never had a Rob T. They have them here, but they're like $45 which I just can't do.

as cubans are great cigars I am going to say that what's coming out of nica right now is seriously unreal and I should think within the next few years will be considered better
Many consider them better now. In terms of quality, they are imvho equal or better. But in terms of what you personally like ... which is the most important thing ... that's a matter of personal taste.

A person who prefers Dominican tobacco might agree that many Nica sticks today are incredible, they still won't prefer them because they don't taste Dominican. You can easily substitute the word Cuban there as well.

I had the pleasure of smoking a Fundadore while in Kentucky the other week and ABSOLUTELY loved it! I am now on the hunt for Trinidads :)

Thanks for the review, Ben! The Robusto T is now added to my 'Trinidar' :) Trinidad radar..........yeah, that was pretty dumb :bottle:

Brother the fundadores are great but they need time. I would say this is a stick that need 4-6 years at least to show what it is capable of but the Robusto T, man this cigar is just amazing rott.

While I am certain the prices outside the US for Cubans does not lend themselves to everyday smokes, it must be great to be able to go to the B&M, procure for oneself these forbidden gems and puff to one's heart's desire.

Nice review you blessed man!
I wouldn't know, we have 4 cigar stores in Sweden and you are not allowed to smoke indoors.
And if you buy them in Sweden which I NEVER do they will run you about 40-50$ easy.

Perhaps if they were legal and I could be assured that I was purchasing the real thing, I'd at least be able to make an informed decision.

That's all I am saying.
Imho it is just not possible to make a cigar better then ccs because of the tobacco they use even though the construction is often better on ncs but I really respect your look on this because it fair.

the extra robusto's are my favorite... not sure if it's the same blend, but i haven't had a bad trini
Not the same blend, I think they are good but imvho not half as good and you just pay extra for nothing. IF you can ,do try this cigar. I am about to ruin my savings buy pulling the trigger on some more.

Wouldn't you like to know?
I've heard fantastic things about the Robusto T's and how great they are ROTT. I think Aaron may have had a thing for them on his last trip to the habanos festival, or maybe that was the short T, either way I look forward to trying these eventually.
Short Robusto T's were this year which I loved fresh off the tables. The Robo T's were the year before. And yes they were fantastic even before they were released. And I have to agree with Ben that I like the Rob T way better then the Robusto extra and almost as much as the Double Robusto's

Not a robusto fan or a Trini fan, but these are fantastic cigars. Bought a box of 12 mid 09 production on release & liked them so much I stocked up.

It's a masterpiece, i can only think of one cigar that i liked even better and was the Cohiba robusto. The robusto t was also the first cigar ever that i smoked on consecutive days.

I think you or someone else is confused these were released at the 2009 Habanos festival. You may have a Robusto Extra from 04 or a newer robusto T

Thanks, Gibble. I "eye-balled it" and could have very well been wrong about the size! :scratchhe

Well, hopefully since it is from 04 it will be great. :grinFU:
