Don't feel bad. I took six months off and almost a year off from this website. Take your time and don't waste anymore sticks, send off what you have (especially to me)....:sarcastic

It may be that you just need a few days or weeks off to get back in to the groove of things, but if you don't garner your interest back something like Seasonal Personality Disorder could be to blame.

I get moody and almost lethargic every winter around this time as the days become shorter so I addressed my doctor about the issue. He told me that Seasonal Personality Disorder (SPD) was likely to blame and that it is caused by the reduced rate at which the body metabolizes vitamin D during decreased exposure to the sun (exposure to a sun lamp a couple hours a day can fix this). I'm regularly a very active and energetic person, I run, rock climb and work out at two gyms 5-6 days a week but as soon as it starts getting dark around 5 pm, I have the worst time finding the motivation to do things that I normally love (this includes cigar smoking).

This condition affects something like 1 in ten people which I believe makes it is less common than actual depression but it is still something to keep in mind, also the upside is exposure to a sun lamp for an hour a day is usually all that is needed to take care of this.

Cabin Fever Bro. You are entering "The Shining".

Little Pigs, Little Pigs.

Happens to me every year.

If you give up on smokin, I'll be at your house with a U-Haul to clean you out.

Don't give up. You're just getting old (er)

Not to that extreme but I feel like that in the winter sometimes, something not enjoyable about sitting in 0 degree weather freezing your ass off lol... It will pass like the cold.
I know what you mean Justin, hell it's only been in the 30's here, and i can count on one hand how many times i've braved the cold for a smoke!:smokingbo

take a break, find something else to enjoy. my desire to smoke goes down in the winter but that is usually when i turn my attention to wine, then once it heats up, back to cigars.

Ciggy, I'm going through the same thing right now. My motivation to smoke has decreased to being almost non existant.

...I even stopped making purchases :wtf:

I think you're done smoking. You'll never enjoy it again. You should probably just pack everything up and send it all to me to be properly taken care of.

It'll pass... I had a similar spell back in October. I quit hittin' the B&M's and the online sites, didn't make any purchases for a while and went a month or more w/o a smoke. Then one day, I'm tailgating at a football game and some preppy frat boy walked by puffin on what looked like Davidhoff Churchill. The faint aroma was more than I could stand and the next 5 hrs were murder!! I got home and smoked a DPG Series JJ and all was well.
