I was biking with my yellow lab on leash and it happened to be bulk trash day. In one of the trash piles I spotted this (Haier thermo-electric Refrige) and later took it to my garage. Everything seemed to be working ok but it wouldn't cool.:dunno: Thanks to Twenty5's post on changing the peltier:glassesgr, I decided to give it a go. Long story short and about $20 later it cools like a charm. Ordered beads and plan to make it into a summer box storage unit.:applause:
Wait a minute...this wouldn't make me a dumpster diver will it?

Here is what I did exactly to replace the Peltier!:

Just remember, one man's junk is another man's treasure! lol
...That's what she said!

Great find, Diver-Joe! I love that kinda stuff...Garage sales, trash nights...Whatever. If if it's safe and clean, then it's fun to revive something and give it new life....As your own :)
