Based on the pics I've seen it looks like the foot isn't exactly capped.. I'd like it like I do any other perfecto. But idk.. hopefully someone else who has smoked one can chime in.

Yeah, just take a bit off the bottom. I personally just take as much as i take off the head. I like it to open up quickly. but to each is own.

if you see in my photo, the end is opened barely enough to get it lit well.

You can really go either way. If you're concerned about the burn, go ahead and cut maybe 1/8 inch. It's been my experience with smokes like this that as long as it has been properly stored it will burn fine no matter which approach you use. It will take a little while to open up fully if you don't cut, but there's no hurry as long as it burns okay.

I cut the bottom as well. I find that the very small opening at the bottom if left alone tends to burn the tobacco in the center very hot and not the outer layers. This screws up the burn for me....

Kinda of like when you want a jet of water, you narro the opening, well put that in reverse when you are sucking in on the stick..Not sure if that is correct or not but cutting the tip helped...

I have only clipped the head of these guys...never had a problem with the draw when I left the foot intact.

Agreed...Uneven burn is very possible without a small clip on the end first.

I've smoked a couple of these and I have had burn issues with some and then nothing with others. I'd clip an 8th of an inch off just to be safe, its not like it would hurt the cigar at all.

I liked it. I got myself hyped up thinking I would love it. But, I liked it. Burned great. The flavors just didn't pop for me. You know, it seemed almost as though it was past its prime and had flattened out. (I know it can;t be past it's prime it just tasted that way.)Shame. I wanted to love it. I have one more so maybe I will fire it up soon and see the difference.
