Curivari Cigars - IPCPR 2010 Sleeper Cigar of the Year

I had the pleasure of smoking a Curivari Reserva Limitada Robusto
and a Curivari Cafe (Corona) on friday. They're a new cigar that are
Nica Puro's. Don't have much info on the company but their rolled
at Tabacalera Tropical and really awesome, the Cafe is very creamy,
sweet coffee, caramel, and rich tobacco, it was like smoking an ECCJ,
but richer!

The Curivari Gloria de Leon I smoked from IPCPR was excellent and truly reminded me of a Cuban Cigar from look to taste. Sadly what may be released will not be the same smoke. The ones handed out at the show had at least 2 years of age on them and it's my understanding that they have changed factories since those were rolled.

I think in this instance you stand to be corrected bro.... The new ones coming from the factory are absolutely outstanding!
I smoked the two mentioned earlier literally a couple of hours after they were delivered to the shop!

I have a lot of cigars on hand so I rarely buy singles anymore. (I mostly smoke out of my lockers...)
That being said, if i find these, i will be buying them. Interestingly enough they come in boxes of 10
so they don't actually hurt your pocket as much if you prefer to buy them by the box!

Ok B, I hear you, but the ones I tried came from Puff n Stuff. Al (the owner)
loved the cigars that he smoked at the show, and ordered cigars in every size as a result.

While they may not be the same cigar as those tried at the show, i can only imagine that
they're using the same tobacco. I'm just saying, fresh "out of the box" or "OTT"
these cigars are "Outstanding"! So maybe no one is wrong here. I didn't have the luxury of smoking the cigars handed out at the show because I wasn't there but I can tell you that what I smoked last week was phenomenal! That tells me that these have excellent aging potential as well, and whoever is blending their cigars "knows his chit"!:headroll:

I'd be curious to know what the difference is between the Seleccion Privada and Reserva Limitada, because if you read what's on their website they are the same cigar.

Ok for those of you that don't know... Curivari was made as a house blend for a Greek cigar merchant (Too lazy to look up his name). Being that he has a shop in Greece he mostly sells CC's and his customers mostly smoke CC's. He had this line blended to look feel and taste like the CC's his customers enjoy and IMO from the sticks I've seen and tasted from IPCPR he succeeded. AS I said in my previous post it's my understanding that the sticks he handed out at the show are from 2 years ago I believe and he is now sourcing from a different factory (Again too lazy to do the research on which factories etc.). I'm not saying the new sticks that are hitting market are bad, they maybe even better than the older ones for all I know. TBH I hope they are as I'd love to smoke them. I'm just saying they are not the same sticks according to my sources.

I hope this post was informational and Excel if you want to trade for a few of those sticks PM me and we'll work something out. AL at Puff and Stuff is one of the best vendors out there and a hell of a nice guy glad to see he's bringing this line in.

Seleccion Privada are a medium bodied cigar. The Reserva Limitada in three different blends are full bodied. There's one that has a red band that resembles a PSD band. There is a brown/maroon band (the cafe) and there's the white band which I think is a maduro.

The company from what I know was only outside US sales until this year. I am told that there are only approximately 10 retailers with cigars at this point with a total of 50 supposedly when all are stocked. The volume is small and I highly doubt there will be any internet sales of these cigars.
