WoW, I would have been using air like a Mofo inthat large of a cave. We did one in the virgin islands, but it has an opening inside that lets you walk around once you dive down thru the cove mouth. It was maybe a 40 yard swim from the open ocean to the internal cave. Once indide we ate lunch and climbed around. Anyway that 40 yards, knowing you are under a mountain is nerve wracking, I used a whole tank and only swam about 150 yards total.

Awesome link, spent some time checking out the pictures. I have been caving, and I have been diving, although combining the two is something I have never done, that would be an awesome trip there.

There on just about all of the Islands of the Bahamas, some to a lesser degree. The largest is on Andros, the next is Cat Island.

We would run twin-80's or tri-60's off the coast of Isla Grande down in Panama.

Trust me, you NEEDED that extra air down there...you get lost QUICKLY.

Then the fun side - nowhere near the sphincter-unpuckering speed of that Bahaman vortex (thank G-d!), the eastern lip of the canyon was an underwater slide....little over 50 feet underwater...creeping up tp the edge....tide goes out.....and WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE off you go down 100-120 feet.

Now, remember all that air? It's for your Deco Stops on the climb BACK UP!!!

hopefully you don't have trouble equalizing pressure in your sinus / ears!

I only equalized once...when I slowed down...felt like the fat lady was sittin' on my face.

Other than that, it's not easy to equalize when you're in the spin cycle!!

Now, on a different note, one of my buddy's cracked his sinus cavity...when he went to blow his nose back on the surface...his face inflated. No sh*t.
