What's up CA BOTL's. I just moved to Venice beach CA and am in search of good shops in Santa Monica, Marina Del Rey, and Venice. Would even venture to Culver city. Anyone have reccos?

There's Hollywood Smoke on Main Street in Santa Monica. I'd also go over the hill to Studio City to check out The Big Easy. Another place is Lone Wolf by the Santa Monica Promenade.

There's a Tinderbox somewhere on the Westside. Wally's in Westwood carries a couple lines. I think there's a lounge in the Marina Ritz. Torrance has Bo's. Long Beach has Cohiba's. There's also a Cohiba's in the Del Amo Mall and at Howard Hughes Center. Buena Vista Cigar Club in Beverly Hills. Grand Havana Room in Beverly Hills. And there's a bunch of shops in Pasadena including Fair Oaks Cigars and a lounge I've wanted to try called Ceniza Cigar Lounge. I know I listed some shops and lounges not in the Westside but who knows. You might find yourself in other areas of L.A.

Also taking an interest in this thread. I'm in Downtown LA and have no idea where the shops are. The biggest two I've heard of are the Big Easy, and Grand Havana room. I believe the latter is membership only though. Might try to make it to the Big Easy for a smoke sometime next week if I can get some time.

There's a shop in downtown LA on 7th Street. But I've never checked it out.

bump on this... anything near Westwood/LA Country Club area? I haven't spend much time in this part of town so I'm not sure where I should plan on heading.

I'll have the travel humi packed although I'm not sure what good it will do me - you can't smoke anywhere in CA right? :argh:

Here's some other spots in downtown. 2nd Street Cigars. CA covered 'em recently. Been in there once. Comfortable chairs. Small space. Selection is okay. J-Lounge. Looks cool. Smokes are limited and expensive. They charge $15 for Hemi SS. Ridiculous.

Big Easy is not in downtown but well worth the drive. No shortage of any of the sticks most guys here are into. IMO they're definitely THE store for smokes in L.A. I always visit when I'm in L.A. Was in there tonight to replenish my travel humi for the rest of my visit (Noellas, MJ12's and VSG's).

There's SM Cigars on Weyburn in Westwood Village. Last time I visited they carried Rocky Patel, Avo Uvezian, Gurkha, Casa Magna and some others.

Ok cool - I may swing by there. I noticed that Buena Vista mentioned earlier is just down the street from me.

I'll have to post up more detail later... but Buena Vista is definitely a spot you want to visit. Everyone has their own opinions on how cigar lounges should be run... this one fit a lot of what I like and I'll make an effort to get there anytime I'm nearby.

Two thumbs up :thumbsup::thumbsup:
