My day today got off to a less than desirable start after meeting with my bank and kind of put me in a funk most of the morning.... I had to work both jobs which ended up being 12 hours on the clock, my only consolation was the fact it was Dogfish Head "steal the glass" night at The Pub. A couple of regulars at the cigar shop I work at stopped in and told me to meet them after work for a beer or three.

So after working solo tonight and closing up the shop I made my way over to The Pub which is two blocks away. In driving by I didn't see the guys out on the deck where they normally would be hanging out smoking their cigars. Regardless, I parked my car and went to look for them. I walked around the bar and spotted them, but before I got to them I saw someone else I recognized in one of the booths..... it was a guy I knew that now lived in Boston and wtf would he be doing in Hampton??? After a quick double take, he was with his wife, who was also good friend of mine many years ago!

They both were as surprise to see me as I was to see them!! They quickly invited me to sit down where we spent the next 2 hours bullshitting and catching up. Was an extremely pleasant experience catching up with them and just telling stories.

Just a great night that makes you appreciate the people you have met in your life. A completely random experience and I was just glad to see them!

Funny thing is Aaron, all 3 of us are "friends" on Facebook, so it was like we never lost touch over the last 15 or so years, but the odds we would just run in to each other randomly like that are pretty crazy.
