Brothers/Sisters,

You may be aware of the extreme flooding in Queensland Australia.
These floods are the worst since 1974 and it looks like the worst is yet to come. Entire towns have been inundated with massive walls of water up to 22m deep in some places.

The water is now flowing to the sea, but with it, it's taking all the debris of homes, cars and even entire toilet blocks and shipping containers. To get to the open ocean, it must pass Australia's 3rd largest city, Brisbane. This is Queensland's capital and the whole CBD has been evacuated with all business suspended.

There have been reports of 12 people losing their lives, over 50 missing and an incredible 60,000 homes flooded. The drinking water is contaminated with e coli so people have emptied the shelves of all supermarkets, convenience stores and gas stations. Some supermarkets, now abandoned, have water levels passing their roof.

Please pray for the people affected and also for those who will be affected in the coming days.

Thanks everyone :tiphat:

Done and done. It's terrible the things going on there. I have friends in several parts of the country, and unfortunately, some of them have been affected by this.

(and totally selfishly, I may or may not have some cigars I'm waiting to be shipped from Down Under... Ahem... :innocent:)

Thanks everyone!
We're glued to the TV watching the destruction left by these waters. It's truly heartbreaking.
Whole families are missing, homes themselves are washed away, businesses gutted, gas stations have 8m of water, everything is destroyed by water, sand, mud and silt.
The Brisbane city center is still under water and construction site excavations are now nothing but massive 20m deep swimming pools.

It's horrifying. Even more so because it's in my "back yard". Less than 950km away, but it feels like it's just down the road. We all feel so helpless, but everyone's spirits are high!

Again, thanks everyone for all your thoughts, well wishes and prayers!!
