Anybody had any experience with these yet? I really like the usual fonseca taste, but I've heard the REs do not often taste like their brand name would imply (except the RAs I've heard were consistent).

Do these taste Fonseca-ish?

Or are they a general RE mutt stick?

Very good stick. Light bodied with a floral sweet taste to them. Smoked one when it first came out and it was definitely a bit young. Might have to smoke another soon to see how they're coming along.

I have been looking for some aged Fonseca's for a while as I hear the real flavor comes out after 5+ years. I was going to order a box of the #1 but don't know if I have the patience to wait a half-decade.

AZ, thanks, I'll try that.

Tommy, I have a box of 09 cosacos that are fine, and I've had some more aged ones too, there are flavors that meld better if around 4 or 5 years, but the fresher ones are pretty good too. Buy a box and see how they progress over time. Then you'll know.

Really? I like fonsecas for a change...neat to see in a bigger format like the RE. Also looking forward to the La Flor De Canos short robo.

I recently bought a 5vr of these and I think they are great! They have the characteristic Fonseca sweetness but also have like a lite super sweet/clean taste (sugar water caramel) on the front end which I have never experienced in a cc besides these...I will probably end up with a box..worth the coin IMO.

The only Fonsecas I would recommend avoiding are any in the line that are machine-made. Handrolled Fonseca cigars are a 1000 times better.
When were Fonsecas ever machine made? The Delicias were machine made, but till 02 or 03. So you would recommend all of them then? Fonsecas are a great way to introduce anyone to cc. Inexpensive, decent quality, decent flavor, that is why I have couple boxes around to hand out to friends.
