I wouldn't say they're similar to the La Verite, but I do love them! One of my favorite Tat's, probably #2 for me, behind the black CG.

I found them to have a completely different profile than the La Verite, though :dunno:

They both start with "Tatuaje" :rolling:

In all seriousness, i have not had a sw reserva as i was late getting into the cigar game, but ive heard only the best (either #1 or 2 in peoples' opinions of tats). Luckily though, I have a few of the verite churchills, so if you say theyre similar, then hooray for me!

I find them to be a rather quick smoke(For the size), compared to the La Verite as well. They burn fairly fast, no ligero in the blend.

I found that I really have to force myself to slow down the smoke to get all the flavors, otherwise I agree these can heat up fast.

I don't know if you have smoked any of the new ones rolled out of the nicaraguan factory (you can tell this by the new tatuaje symbol on the back of the band instead the word "sw" which were rolled in Miami). The new ones seem to be packed tighter and smoke slower than the originals from Miami. The one I had today took about 1 hour and 40 minutes.

Very different cigars. Both are good in there own way. If given a choice of one, the SW reserva would be it.

These always seem to change quite a bit as I smoke them. I start out wondering why I get them and end up always wanting more. I haven't had any of recent release yet, but I think I'm down to my last one from 2007.

Since when did Brown labels start getting made 500 meters north of the Texaco station? Still think they're out of Miami..........

no, that is interesting...I keep a cigar journal where I paste the band on the page of my notes (yep, I am a geek:glassesgr) and it was late December; it had the SW on the reserva band. I will keep my eye out for one that does not have the SW on it.

Thanks,

Tom

The SW Reserva is one of my top 3 smokes! Delicious from start to finish! I had one the other night and it lasted just about 2 hours!
