That style of cigar has just never really appealed to me.

However, if it's by Tatuaje, I'm definitely intrigued.

No offesne to Pete, but these seem more like a novelty than anything else.

I get that there are great stories (smuggling cigars out of factories, etc.) behind this shape and presentation, but they are just so odd.

The CC (Partagas) version of these are good...I've had several, but again...Just hard to take serious.

How do you smoke them anyways?

Do you light and snip all for heads and feet of the cigar and smoke the whole thing? Or do you take them apart for 3 cigars?

Dion released one sometime ago, it was called the Illusione ~23~.

The Culebra ('snake' in spanish), or "tre in uno" (3 in 1). It's 3 cigars wrapped together - meant to share. Everyone gets a 33 x 6 1/2 smoke.

Culebra's were created as the way to do the cigar rations for the workers...that's what I had heard. Not a way to smuggle...

Meh. Smoked a couple of culebras before, and it just doesn't appeal to me. I could see having a couple on hand, but I would never buy a box of culebras (any, not just Tats) because I typically smoke alone.

I have read/heard that factory workers would twist up two or three smokes and stash them away in their clothes.

Any more would be too bulky, so it was 2 or 3...Makes sense.

I thought they were gifts made that way to be ugly so they would not be able to sell them. Given to them by the factory.
