If you were offered to trade Opus X for some CC, would you?

What would be fair, stick for stick? Say 10 psd4, r&j short, rass, etc for 10 Misc. Opus.

And if you had your pick ,what Opus would you take?

Opus has the higher msrp so personally I would take the opus and run. What would I ask for whatever they were willing to give. I think even pussycat size is more then most cc robo's minus maybe Cohiba and trindad.

Stick for stick? No, just cuz of the MSRP difference....but maybe 3 cc's to 2 opus..

As for the Opus...power rangers & pl's would be my 1st choices.

Yeah... I'd focus on cost, but I'd do the trade for sure.

If you have two Opus X DCs that run $20 each, I'd trade them for five PSD4 which run $8 each. $40 = $40.

I'm open to trading Opus X for CCs, definitely.

I'd do it, but I like Opus more than almost all CC. Best Opus are small ring gauges - Lancero and #4 are my favorites. #5's ok, and so are Petit Lanceros. Just make sure you clip the "point" off the PL before smoking.

One for one - just give a mix for a mix. A shorty for a #5 would be ok, but I wouldn't want to trade a RASS for a #5 if I was a CC smoker. Just sayin.

Trust your instincts! You know this game as well as I do bro!

I agree, I would just see what is involved in the trade.

I've probably only smoked 2 or 3 Opus in my approximate 12 years of smoking cigars and I just never understood the Opus craze. I don't know if the ones that I had bought just weren't on or what but they didn't really do that much for me. One was a Power Ranger and don't remember what the others were. They were bigger and longer, like corona/toro size. I just couldn't convince myself to spend that kind of buck on those.

I'd much rather have CC's based on my limited experiences with Opus!

Depends on age
This very well may be the deal breaker for me. I would not be inclined to trade CCs for Opus X unless they were comparable in age and dollar value. Cohiba Esplendidos can run upwards of $50.00 here. Add aging to the equation and suddenly making such a trade becomes a much trickier proposition.

If I liked the cc's being offered in the trade, wouldn't think twice or look back.

If I'm getting Opus for cc's, sorry not interested.

I agree. It's traders call.
For me based on just the handful of opus I have had(admitidly prob not enough to have a valid take them), i think many great reg cc's are worth more stick for stick. Just my opinion though.

Obviously depending on several factors, I would actually trade out CCs for Opus. I love my CCs, but I think at this point in my smoking life, I would rather smoke an Opus than almost any CC I've had.

All personal taste.

MSRP be damned, if you end up not liking the Opus X's, then you're short anyways right?

I smoked an Opus X on New Year's Night, and a stunning model-type chick came over and took it out of my hand, puffed on it a few times and handed it back... A few minutes later she came back and did it again.

Oh... Now, what was the question?

If you are comparing Canadian prices Opus Double Corona is worth quite abit more then Esplendido. Here in Alberta esplendido is a little cheaper then perfextion #2

There are a number of factors I would consider if doing this trade, which I would, btw.

Age of BOTH Opus and CC, size of respective CC and Opus, and I think people often overlook availability factor when procuring CCs. Yeah, an aged Edmundo or Trini may only be worth X amount of dollars, good luck getting them and how much time you spend and risk you take getting them.

Good luck.

Aged Opus are harder to find then aged CC's. Was able to place an order and get 03 HDM Petite robos and 06 trinidad reyes. Aged C's are easy just do to supply chain issues.
This is an interesting point A, and despite only being in the Habanos game for a short time, I am constantly shocked at the ease with which some people happen to come upon boxes with some serious age on them. Not likely to find boxes of Opus with 6+ years of age on them with that kind of ease, and certainly not from a normal retailer.

But like I said, I'd rather have a stock of Opus than CCs 9 times out of 10, in my experience.
