I was also able to sample one from the first batch that Derek and Jerome had.
The cigar is very good. Very good! Just what Rick (the owner) asked for in a stick. Full-flavored, medium bodied and the 109 is a great size. The cigar was rumored to be fashioned after the 2007 Edmundo Dantes El Conde Regional Release by Montecristo. 7 1/4" x 50. (184 x 19.84 mm)
No pepper blast at the beginning and never any harshness at the end. Just about perfect.

Fashioned how like the Edmundo Dantes? Just size right? No way that flavor profile can be duplicated in a NC...not that it won't be good but not the same.

C'mon you must realize by now that all CC's can be duplicated because of the superior tobacco available to the NC producers.:stretchgr

I got the impression he was just talking about the size of the cigar, and not the blend?
