Tatuaje Reserva J21 or SW Churchill?

Which are you more fond of? The last J21 I smoked seemed flat and muddled; however the last SW was very good. You thoughts?

Both are perfect timing cigars. I love them both. THe J21 is a great robusto allowing me th opportunity to enjoy a cigar for a little over an hour. The SW (Churchill) is a great cigar when you have time for more. THey are the same blend, so I can't understand why the J21 was flat and muddled for you.

I don't know what the deal is but I have an entire box of j21's that are flat. Hopefully going through a sick period. Mine are about 16 months old? We'll see?

Agreed 100%. I suspect it may just be a matter of the earlier production reaching maturity while the newer still need some rest, but that's idle speculation.

Actually havent' smoked a J21 fresh in a while... they might be different. The last one in my humi is from when they used to have a sweet ligero wrapper. They are pure goodness...

j21 for me due in large part to the difference in size from the sw. They are both great smokes though.

I agree 100%, I love the 08's, one of my favorite Tat's. The new ones made in Nic are still good, but the older ones were amazing!

Many cigars go through a flat period as part of their normal aging process. Annoying, but that's just how tobacco is (though some cigars seem more prone to it than others).

To me, the original J21s are probably Pete's strongest regular-production cigar. I just had on last week ... dang! A lot like the Pork Tenderloin, but without that Broadleaf sweetness. I prefer the PT, but the J21 is a great cigar.

I'm very surprised to hear that the SW is the same blend ... I've found those to be much milder by comparison.

Flat J21's? I've gone through at least 6-7 boxes over the past few years and never had any that were flat.

I don't think so... I know the Cojonu 06's had a similar wrapper, but not sure about the SW's.

I'm surprised to hear that too. I've also found the SW to be much milder.
