Starting this thread is my 500th post on this lovely site! Prior to Sam (sam a) telling me about this place and Jim (AZCigarNut) inviting me to a private group on here, I spent my time on another cigar site that truly pales in comparison to BOTL.
I began reading around, posting my thoughts here and there, commenting on collections, etc...THEN, something happened. I was able to view a sub-forum called 'Bombers Basement' and got to see first-hand how generous, thoughful, kind and SNEAKY you all can be! I did a lot of watching to fully understand how this worked without having to ask, watched people get their asses handed to them in trades, etc...
Then one day Brent (bdc30) was talking to me about some boxes of Padrons I was selling and we started chatting back and forth for a few days. Eventually they sold and in letting Brent know that, he asked if I'd be interested in a blind trade. Sounded cool to me, but I let him know I had not done one before, so asked for the rules........nothing major, 5-10 stick trade.
In watching other trades on here, I quickly learned that people do NOT stick to the rules, but in a GOOD way! I did my part and destroyed his little Canuck town. As expected, he did the same to me!
From that point on, I've made TONS of friends on here, have many plans of travel this summer to shake some of their hands and enjoy their company, bombed, been bombed, talk on the phone with some weekly, text, etc......real friends, you know?
Bottom-line, I could never say enough good things about this place and the people. You are ALL way up there in my book, and I'M honored to be your friend and brother.
