tried cicarcyclopedia.com and here's what I got:
CigarCyclopedia.com closed on January 31, 2011.

Comments or questions, however, may still be directed here.

Many thanks to our readers for their years of support.
I'm assuming they meant 2010, but regardless, what's up with that? Any info?! :scratchhe

I'm not sure who the sponsors were that left, but Perelman randomly shocked the community when he announced his closing a few weeks ago. Yesterday was the last day the site was to be up, get the cached version as you can. This is also the end to Perelman's print publications, making 2011 the last year, or at least that is the plan to my knowledge.

I am very sorry to hear this. It was a valuable site for a long time and really nice for sourcing and pricing.

Except that the newest archive.org data is 3 years old.

For the moment, you can still get to the PDFs on the servers that hosted cigarcyclopedia via the google cached page link posted previously in this thread. Or, you can send me a PM letting me know what you are looking for from the site, as I downloaded every PDF on the site last week. :)

Bummer. That comparison shopper feature was a valuable tool that I used every time I was planning on buying a box. :sadstare:

since they've shut down, anyone have an alternative for comparing cigars and retailers? Thunder, I know u said you'd email 'em, but I can't imagine you emailing all of them and the prices will change with time. Any suggestions?

Google shopping has gotten much better over last several months. Still misses many, many smaller operations, but will compile nice, up-to-date list from a number of larger retailers.
