Anyone tried PSD4 of 2009?

I got a box of 25 PSD4 BLU SEP 09. I wonder how they taste?

Should they be aged for another year? :ballbounc

Try em! I'm smoking Aug 09's and hard to imagine them getting a lot better. They're certainly far better than my Mar 10's.

The ones I have from '10 were smoking well.

I heard that '10s are actually smoking better than the '09s though. I say light one up, worst case they need a little more time.

Unfortunately there's no consistency with these. The 08's and 09's I've been smoking have no similarity in taste whatsoever. If you blindfolded me I'd be hard pressed to say they were the same stick. That being said they both have nice flavors just totally different.

They can be aged for decades if you want to go that route. Smoke some now and see if you like them.

While this might not help you much...

I Just smoked an 07 PSD4 pregame Superbowl Sunday.....it was an amazing cigar in every possible way.

Sadly, only have two 07's left.

It is not a bad idea to smoke 1 or two to determine if that box is worth saving long term. It might have legs, and it might not. It might just be a nice box of above average robustos.

I smoked some 08 and are awesome, just wondering if 09 would be good too.

2008 didn't even need that much humidor time. Pretty much ROTT good!

Went through a box of psd4's with a similar code this past summer and they were great. Worst you can do is give one a shot, if you don't like it then give it a re-visit every couple of months to see if they are ready.

Had a box of 09's and they were terrible...a bro recently gave me one of his 2010 and it was really good.
