Cohiba Behike 52


Appearance/Construction- The cigar has great colorado brown color, and feels uniformly well made. It has a cool small pigtail triple cap. The label is one of coolest I've seen. It is a variation of the standard Cohiba label with some holograms on the band.

Burn/Draw- It has an excellent draw, and a good burn.

Flavor- The flavors are medium-full and it has the same strength.

1/3- The first note is honey, followed by cedar and fruit. It is slightly harsh. Some vanilla and a hint of tea come along.

2/3- More vanilla, tea and fruit flavors. Then I tasted some woodiness.

3/3- At the end some caramel and coffee flavors finish the cigar.

Burn time- 1hr. 20min.

Overall- 8.9/10 This was a very good cigar and was something I would like to smoke again after some ageing. I must give my friend Justin a special thank you for gifting me this elusive and high end cigar.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I for one cannot wait to get my hands on a couple of these sticks. Everyone who I have talked to about them rave on and on about how great they are and how much they are "worth it". I want to judge for myself, I'm just not willing at this time to either have the sticks confiscated or at worst, be sold a fake.

I recently had one of these beauties on a vacation in Cuba. I would agree with the tasting notes, except that I didn't get the bitterness during the first 1/3. I noted a creaminess during the whole smoke. Very nice cigar, although I would probably give it a 9.3/10.

While I was in the La Casa Del Habano purchasing a couple BHK 54 (they had sold out of the 52), I had to put the first one I grabbed back as the wrapper had torn. The lady helping me said something about the cigars must be difficult to roll, as she had received a lot of BHKs in all sizes that had the tears in the wrapper. None of the tears would be significant enough to prevent me from smoking them, but just an interesting observation.

I got one that had a torn wrapper in the box of 54's I picked up as well. Just going to touch it up with some pectin or something before I smoke it, but for ~$50/stick it was a little disappointing to say the least.

I hear that. For pricey sticks I usually try to get a replacement. But otherwise pectin works great if it's just a tear and not major damage. I recently got a Padron Family Reserve that is crushed to oblivion--not even the magic of lettuce can save that, lol.
