Wow... what a response!
Look I have my own opinions as to why LP has failed to received what I believe to be an appropriate score (92-95) and it has nothing to do with advertising. And there is no benefit in sharing them.
I also don't agree with the 1st inch only practice knowing that many cigars require time to develop and blossom.
However, their scores are their scores and nothing I or anyone says will change them. Lucky for us Drew Estate's success has never depended on any magazine or any ratings - people smoke our cigars and decide for themselves.
Also I don't take issue with someone not liking the Dirty Rat. It isn't for everyone, none of the cigars we make are - Kuba Kuba guys love 'em, but those that don't, don't. It is the way it is. I always tell people that "if you make a cigar everyone will like, you are ultimately making a cigar no one will love..."
My only nitpick with their Dirty Rat review was that they rated it as "Medium" in body. That baffles the hell out of me!
