Searching for info on the Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial comes up a bit short, what's the consensus on this blend?

Im looking at getting a box of either the JJ maduro(a favorite of mine) or this Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial(haven't tried it yet), any thoughts on comparing the 2 blends?

I plan to order within 24 hours so feedback would be appreciated.

Also, best price on either of these? Feel free to PM me that info if you'd rather.

Thanks guys. :smokingme

well, I always advise against a blind-buy of an entire box. Though in this case, you could easily trade or sell them here or elsewhere if you don't like them.

I love the JGRE petite robusto (only size I've had). It's just a great cigar. Lots of coffee and some semi-sweet chocolate, earth and a bit of wood. Great stick, imvho. I have to smoke a few more, but I find a lot of similarities to the Liga Privada No. 9.

Had the gigantic toro gordo,......it's HUGE!!!!! But loved it. If you are looking for spiciness, then this isnt your cigar, but it has a totally different profile from Pepin cigars.
Big on the chocolate and wood notes, they are delicious, so I definitely recommend them!

Tough choice - I really enjoy both equally, but the Jaime's are about $50 - $60 less per box than the JJ maduros for comparable vitolas (with 20 as opposed to 24 cigars).

Not a fan of the Serie JJ, in either version. I picked up a box of the Jaime Reserva Belicosos when they were released about a year ago. I enjoyed them and this blend is definitely different when compared to the typical Pepin profile. However, there are better sticks that use the Broadleaf capa out there, namely the Tat Reserva's and the new La Sirena. This latter brand is terrific and I'd suggest looking into these as well.

JGRE hands down!

Beautiful wrapper, great construction, earth, spice, cashews and espresso.Plus a great price for the quality.

Like it was above I just don't like buying a box if I have never tried it before. If you could swing it I would say box of JJ's and a fiver of JG.
Enjoy

id go with the Jaime's. Ive smoked all but 2 out of a box and have enjoyed them. They are at a great price point as well.

Damn near reminds you of the Soprano "Bullet" in that Trunk Case!:hysterica

Still goes back to classic case of "Smoke what you like, Like what you smoke"
though... If they're makin it, obviously "some fool's buying it..."

That's a tough call I love them both. I've had the OR Jaime toro, and it was one of the best sticks I've ever had. I'm currently working thru a box of the robus. They're awesome. The jj maduro belicoso is a fantastic smoke. If you could swing the beli box I'd go for those. If moneys an issue, go for the Jamie.
