BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE
Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

:welcome: Yea, the best advise is to listen to all the knowledgeable brothers on this site and start experimenting on your own... You will never know what you like until you try it! Good luck with all this new found knowledge available at your fingertips...

However, I do recommend that you keep track of the cigars that you're going to smoke in some way. That way you'll remember which ones you liked and which ones you hated.
Also, something you may want to try out, I have what I call the rule of three.
Basically, if I'm trying or buying a cigar I've never had before I usually do it in threes. Whether I like or hate the first cigar, I always smoke the second one to see if my initial opinion still holds true. If the second cigar causes me to be undecided then I use the third as a tie breaker. If I liked the first two cigars then I have a spare stick that I know I like. If I hated the first two then I have a cigar to give to some one I don't like! :headroll:

Welcome to our part of the cigar world. When I started smoking back in 2005 I walked into a local brick and mortar (B&M) not knowing anything. I was directed towards Cusano and some others along the mil to medium profile. Try many things, take notes, see what you like and don't. Go from there. Hang out here and you will get good advise from all the brothers.
Yeah Variety is the spice of life, and do take notes on what you like and don't like. Nothing worse of remembering a great smoke but totally not being able to recall what it was.
