Holy Hell.

That's beyond OCD. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY beyond OCD....

OCD is when you have one of these -

Wish I did, that's why I needed to get the labels for the printer :hanghead:

Edit: then again, it's probably much easier transferring from Excel and printing in bulk... :scratchhe

Very cool system. I was being very OCD, geeky with my cigar spreadsheet... just ask Dan.

Anyway, after a little ribbing from Bob one day, I decided... he's right... So, now, I did away with the spreadsheet. If I want to review something, I'll take notes. Otherwise, I will just smoke what I have, and enjoy. I seem to be doing better now, since then.

(Oh, is using emoticons considered post/thread clutter? If so, I do apologize.)

I did the label maker labels at one point, wasn't a fan. A printed label, stuck on a band, wrapped around a cigar. Just looked silly. Spent a few hours to make up a Visio template that has size for various vitolas. I just edit the info on each one (Place purchased, purchase location and date) print, cut, and glue. Much easier and faster than it sounds.

Eh, just because he's old doesn't make him right  For some people it's just another part of being involved in the hobby. For me, I like to know what came from where. Since I pick up a few sticks here and there, all over the country, it's good to know if I'm looking at an El Triunfador from NY in '09, or the one from KS in '11.

Like you, there's a method to my madness! If I had a cigar I wasn't crazy for, but later on had the same cigar and enjoyed it, I can see exactly how long it's been resting. I can also shout out to the person who gifted it to me (if applicable) and say thanks. Further, I can hit up my spreadsheet when it's time to decide what to smoke instead of fumbling through the humi aimlessly! lol

So how hard would it be to add a bar code of some kind and link to a spreadsheet?
I used Avery Wizard, and there's an option to add a barcode to the label. Maybe I could figure out a way to upload the spreadsheet (possibly Google docs?) and link the barcode to the spreadsheet? :dunno:

I sure hope not! lol
