If I had to guess. I'd say there FAKE! Don't buy them. Just 2 cents.

Post photos and we can tell you...the last thing you want to do is buy a box of fakes (which this and the Monte #2 are the 2 most faked).

How much as normally the run in the $490-$580 range. Also, I would ask him what factory? If he bought them he should know that. However, more than likely, fake!

Yeah, if you post pictures we can help to verify authenticity but more often than not if you know somebody that "got them from the factory" it seems they end up being fake. Keep in mind that real Esplendidos are about the equivalent of 480 USD in Cuba alone, if he is selling for less there is also a high probability that these are fake. Also ask him which factory they came from.

"With papers" is something I have NEVER heard associated with a box of Cuban cigars! Maybe a purebred dog (?!)

Take photos, and post if you can....Especially the bottom of the box.

It is THE authority on Cuban cigars, and has a section on what to look for on boxes....Packaging, labels, seals, etc.

fakes. the band on the cigar all the way to the right only has 2 rows of squares. There's probably more things wrong with it, but that's the first thing i saw.
