This 4 7/8×50 cigar hails from Cuba, wrapped in a medium brown satin wrapper with minimal veins, invisible seams, a soft tobacco aroma and a slight box press with rounded corners. It has a very soft squishy feel with random soft spots throughout. First light reveals a very snug draw but smokable, a decent amount of smoke output with soft slightly sweet and nutty tobacco flavors. Body is mild-medium and the finish is very long and oily, leaving a slick in my mouth. The first third is medium bodied with nutty, woody tobacco flavors. There’s an oily sweetness on the draw and a bit of pepper on the finish. Draw is snug but working just fine. Smoke output is decent, burn is almost razor sharp. 20 min in at the start of the 2nd third, the ash fell off and the draw opened way up, giving a perfect resistance with much more smoke and fuller body flavors. The last third transitions to a creamy, oily, sweet roasted coffee flavor with a deep long finish. Ending at 55 min this was a great smoking experience! http://cigarobsession.com/cigar-reviews/ramon-allones-specially-selected-cigar-review/

Another great review!

The only Ramon Allones I've tried are last year's Canadian Regional blend, and I thought they were OK but I imagine they will be wonderful with some age.

At this point they were a little too spicy for my tastes, as it kind of masked any other flavours that were going on.

Nice review. These IMHO are some of the best sticks produced by the good folks over at Habanos. From a consistency point of view, I have never had a bad one.

I haven't had too many Habano's but the RASS was the best I've had. Romeo y Julieta Short Churchill would be #2. I've yet to try the infamous PSD4.

Hi Bryan,
Great review, as always. For me, the RASS is a truly delightful cigar to experience; just rich and flavorful. It simply brings a smile to the face to smoke it.
Thank you for sharing,
Curtiss
