Chasidor Update

Got an e-mail today saying that my order has been printed. Says it will be done in 5-7 days.

As of today, it has only been 28 days since my order was placed.

Ordered 3 double cedar trays and 2 cedar shelves.

Yeah, I just talked with Chuck after I recieved mine and now that the backlog of stained units are pretty much finished up, he's back on track with normal build times.

Chuck's a good guy...he just got overwhelmed with a ton of orders.

Nope, they are the reason why he got held up (besides health and weather). The spray gun got clogged and malfunctioning alot.... So he decided to discontinue production of them.

Actually, I talked to Chuck about the stained unit...there will be a stained option in the near future...just based off of the natural cedar tray. Here's part of the email:

As for the stained units, no I will never offer them like you have now, but in the spring I will be changing the site. When the yearly contract is up with the hosting company I am with now I will be changing and then adding a new option to the cedar units. The faces will be stained oak fronts like you have now but the body's will be all cedar. So from the outside they will look the same. That will allow me to get them shipped in with the standard trays rotation since staining and spraying the fronts is a simple process. It's the tray body that created all the backlog.

Order shipped this morning. No tracking info on-line yet. Probably no way it gets here tomorrow, which means I have to wait until Monday. :argh:

Order shipped 33 days after being placed.

My order number was 496.

I thought that Fed Ex would never get here today. When they finally did get here
100_0796.jpg I put my best guy on guarding the package.

No doubt about it Chuck really does some nice work. The pictures really don't do the work justice. The fit is incredible.
100_0797.jpg Just wonderful.

First picture of the before, and then the after shots. (Note: hydrometer is off by 3%, so at 65%) Put the boxes back in, put dishes of distilled water w/ sponges in two drawers and the Cigar oasis is in the bottom. Have the fans running 15 minutes of every hour. Been in a little over 5 hours and the humidity is back up to 60 %. Going to let it go for awhile before I put the singles back in.

Awesome! That is a great set up. Beautiful pup, too!

Nice and organized... looking forward to seeing it filled with singles.

As a heads up, it took mine about a day and a half to stabilize... after that I filled the drawers full and all is holding well. I did lightly spray the trays probably four or five times though just to make sure the wood in contact with the cigars was moist enough to prevent it from pulling moisture from the cigars.
