Before I write anything else, two things. One, I understand that there are several Droid threads--they are 6 months old. Two, I have NO interest in purchasing the iPhone.

I am on Verizon Wireless, and I am considering getting a Droid Incredible, but the Droid 2 has also gotten my attention. I have read about the apps, and all of the specs on the phones, but I would like some opinions on the phones from people that actually use them, and more up-to-date opinions.

Thanks in advance because this will be a major purchase for me.

I have had a Motorola Droid now for about 6 months or so and am also on Verizon. It is absolutely the best phone I have ever had. With the availablility of Flash I can do just about anything on it. I use it for Nav, have it sync'd with Outlook on my laptop, use it for BOTL and chat, etc... I wouldnt have anything else. Just my opinion but the thing is amazing. The fact that I can use voice input for nav and internet searches as well as texting is pretty cool to. Hope that helps.

I have the droid 2 (Verizon) because of the keyboard feature and my tendency to be fat fingered on the onscreen type keyboards. I really like the phone but am awaiting the 4g line.

Verizon here with a Droid X, love the thing but is large with an excellent screen. Never drops a call, excellent to view google maps and traffic feature saves me headaches all the time. Texting is very easy to do and the voice to text feature is excellent. Was at a Verizon store last night, employee told me the Droid 2 is end of life already so that can't be good. Must be replacing that model already, might want to ask.

pros: droid is the best smart phone i have owned this far... too many pro's to list
cons: battery is drained quickly, keep a car or usb charger handy! also makes you sign up for a gmail accnt. word, excel, pdf's, etc will not load out of other email accounts without other questionable apps installed... must be forwarded to gmail accnt to view!

summery: a few things to get used to like any new phone, but i am happy with it!

I have a Gmail account, but use Yahoo! as my primary. I have narrowed my search to the Droid 2 and the Incredible... It is a tough choice for me right now.

My office just issued me a Droid 2 on Verizon, and I love it. Huge upgrade over the G1 (first gen android) I was carrying around before. You'll need to tinker with the settings a little to get it the way you want it, but that goes for just about any phone.

Maybe this issue is limited to my phone? I have the HTC G2. If I get sent an attachment I cannot download or view it from hotmail... I figured out I can just forward it to my gmail and it works as it should.

Maybe this issue is limited to my phone?
