Hello all brothers.
I am happy to introduce myself to you all. Recently I have discovered the deep, satisfying, and rewarding experience of finding and smoking great cigars- either alone with my thoughts (very few) or with others. At the end of a stressful- or enjoyable- day/week enjoying a high quality smoke on my deck and being 'there' is a profound experience like no other that I have found. The worries and b.s. of life seem to linger together with the smoke that billows upwards until they both evaporate together- leaving me with the my true self- able to truly enjoy life as it is.
The experiences that I have shared with others is equally rewarding and needed. Just this evening a good friend of mine and I went down to my local shop here in Brick, NJ and had a fantastic time sitting, relaxing, smoking, and chatting with a new-found friend. What a great experience- and one that I plan to replicate as often as I possibly can.
The reflective, 'me time' on one hand and the social aspect on the other hand, together, combine to make such a profound experience my words cannot express. I had no idea how much I needed it until I found it.
The third part of the equation is all of you. Since registering here and on another site I am amazed at the civility and the gentlemanly, respectful climate that pervades throughout this culture. I am truly grateful that this exists.
I am sincerely grateful that cigar smoking found me- especially at this stage in my life. I recently bought my first home and Iam truly coming into my own-solidly- as a man. It is no wonder that the smoke has found me now.
On a side note- I am so freaking new and I am going to take some time getting used to this site, how to navigate it, how to respond correctly, how to establish myself as a man of honor and integrity when it comes to making trades and purchases, etc. I just need to know how and to practice doing so, I suppose.
I look forward to many rich and rewarding times alone, with friends, and with interactions and exchanges with all of you- all equally. Thanks for having me.
