Was just gifted this stick, and certainly looking forward to it based on a couple of short reviews I found.

Anyone have any comments about the T52 Flying Pig?

I like them myself but think they need some time to settle down. These actually age and change over time fairly well due to the nice oily wrappers!

Have a sealed box sitting and another half a box in singles that I will try on occassion as they age. The # 9 piggies are smoking extremely well right now. Have a few left but can't bring myself to finish them off just yet since they will not be making a reappearance based on a convo with SS at NERF.

It's a Nub by Liga Privada.

So the vitola may leave you wanting, but it's LP, so it's gonna be good regardless.

The #9 Flying Pig is WAY better than the regular #9, at least to me.

The regular T52s get a lot better with age (I have some Toros with like 16-months on them), at least to me (loose some power, but gain richness and smoothness and the flavors seem to come out even more).

Before I tried the T52 Pig, I liked the aged T52 Toro the best, then the #9 Pig, then the non-aged regular T52s, then the aged regular #9s.

I had a T52 Pig like a week after they came out, and thought they were very nearly as good as the aged T52 Toros. With some age, these T52 pigs will be absolutely world class. I'm going to try to get more :)

Oh, and the Flying Pig vitola is NOT a NUB ... not by any means. It's a flavor-enhancing shape (old-school perfecto) and it burns for quite a while ... I always get at least 90 minutes with a Piggie!

It's my understanding that the pigs come with 1 years resting before being sold. Even though more time is better, the few I've smoked already have been great, may let the other rest a bit and compare.

That could be. The original release (Toro, Rob, etc) of the LP#9 was rested one year prior to being sold, then Steve decided to start selling them when they were a bit younger (like 7 months) because some people liked them a bit stronger. It may well be that the FPs are 12 months.

36k+ cigars don't get rolled overnight. Especially when you only have four rolling pairs working on them.

When all the cigars are released at once, as was the case with the T52 pigs, some of them are going to be a number of months younger than others.
