Issues with mold

The only time I ever had a mold issue was during the summer when I let the temps rise to about 73 degrees before giving in and running the AC @ 70 for the rest of the season. I am pretty sure that 68% @ 73 degrees is enough to promote mold growth. My outbreak was isolated to two cigars that I wiped off and quarantined but that was that. This year I will bite the bullet and set the AC to 70 during the early spring to avoid a repeat.

What is the temperature inside your humidor?

temp is around 73... any ways to cool it down if thats the issue?

Not without a wine cooler or something along those lines. Really, I don't see that as being a huge deal. 73 isn't ideal, but many of us deal with temps that high.

I would respectfully disagree with this statement. 68% RH in 73 degree temperatures should not produce mold in any way, shape, or form.

I would agree if I knew that all of the beads were not saturated/clear and that the temp did not get above 70 for any length of time. Otherwise, I would still say that it is possible.

my temperature is always above 70...
right now it's at 72... has not been below 70 in quite a while... house is set at 73 during the day, 72 at night. I doubt I will have mold now, as I've not had it in the past year.
My humidity is where I want it, and the temp is fine... If I had an ETC, i'd set the temp to 68 all the time.

Increased temps would help to promote mold growth in a humidor with borderline too high humidity. I don't know for certain that 68% is the highest my cooler got and likewise the OP might be dealing with slightly higher RH as well given the salt test method employed. In my case it was only on two cigars in a packed cooler and was not an issue after I dropped the temps. Sounds very similar to the situation the OP is having.
