I ordered a 5er of these online last night from Cigarbid. I have been really enjoying the 5 Vegas Series A and the Gold Madruos (for a cheap knock around smoke). How do you guys feel about the 5 Vegas Relic?

I liked it. Good construction and a good flavor. They aren't an every day smoke for me (I prefer the box pressed Gold, or Gold Maduro) but they're definitely worth smoking.

I haven't had one since a buddy of mine gave me one when they were first released. I remember it as being enjoyable and if my memory serves me right they are also a Dominican puro. Wonder if they have been making subsequent batches of these or if they are from the original batch and have some time on them.

I didn't like the relic. I remember when they first came out everyone was excited. But didn't live up to expectations. We then called them Relic Rockets.

I liked the relic and the box is cool but was not enough to keep it around after the 5 pack sampler was gone. I do like the As and have recently switch to the AAA. I have liked every Limitada line they produce each year the best was the 2006 and 2007. I currently have one from every year except 2005.

I have one in my humi which I got in a sampler.

I have to say, it has an aroma to it that I have never smelled on any other stick. It doesn't even smell like tobacco. It's almost artificial smelling, like caramel.

I'm anxious to try it, but have been told a year's aging will take it from "terrible" to "good".

I had one last summer, and I liked it. I then bought a box of them, and I found a lot of them to have a weird taste. No real craftsmanship issues, as I have seen mentioned. 1 or 2 burned a little uneven.

I am actually looking to get rid of them at this point.

They did come with a really cool box though.

It is a cool box. Like a coconut or something. The cigars.. meeh... I have some buried from when they were originally releases. I have thought about a revisit, but not that often.

I'm a big fan of the 5 Vegas line, just not the relic. I have had construction issues with them in the past.
Agree whole heartedly. I received one in a 5 Vegas sampler pack and while the taste was decent, the sucker was falling apart like a Kia. The 5 Vegas A Series on the other hand was damn near flawless.

To be honest, I've given a few 5 Vegas' a shot, and I'm thinking they just aren't for me. Even went as far as getting a box of As to let sit for a while. I've had one or two that seemed appealing for a third or so of the stick, but then the rest is like charcoal. Something about the ones i've smoked just irked me. I'll give a limitada a try sometime as I've not had one, but until then, more for all of you.

What have you tried? I think the Cask Strenth is okay, and the Gold is pretty good (but smells awful), and I liked the Miami and the limitada 08' I think it was. The collector in me wants to get 2 yearly limitada, and only ever smoke one.

I like the Cask Strength, the Miami is overrated IMHO. I have a few knuckles sitting for about the past year so I might revisit them at some point.

As far as the Relic, I thought initially they were decent, but I smoked one the other day that probably had a little over a year on it and thought it was quite good. Those of you that do have some "buried" might want to give them another go.

I did recently, and still, bleh. Some have an ammonia like taste to them, but not all.

My lesser favored smokes get a lot of gos. I save the best for last. My humi is about to have nothing in it but stuff that I love. I also eat food this way. I eat everything on my plate one thing at a time starting with my least favorite so that I can end my meal on a high note. I am weird. I know.
