Has any expierenced this cigar and had any issues with it. My botl and myself had an issue and I would like to know if it is common. We had the wrapper come appart and started peeling back about half way through.

RP sticks seem to like humidity between 55 and 60 for me (granted, I live in a very humid place). Getting into the 65 area starts making things plugged and/or explode.

I used to smoke these all the time. I loved them, and the 60 is really good in that blend. I can't believe I just said that out loud, because I would not smoke a 6x60 now if you paid me. But that one works. Never had a wrapper issue with mine. Are you sure you are smoking it from the correct end?

I punched mine and my botl cut his and the both did the same thing. I can say I have only lit the foot of a cigar.

The ones I had awhile back had issues with the cap and wrapper as well. Nothing serious, but they seem a little thin and you have to be gentle when cutting and handling them.

Regards,
Randy

I haven't smoked one in a couple of years, but about 5 years ago they were one of my go to cigars. At the time, it was one of the best constructed cigars I've ever had. Of course, there is the possibility there was something wrong with the cigars in that particular box. Storage, cracked wrappers, etc.

This was also a go-to stick of mine for years before I REALLY got into cigars. Recently, I have noticed tremendous problems with construction on all of Rocky's products. Paper thin wrappers, un-even burns, shoddy caps and GIANT F-ING STEMS in the blend. Save your money and smoke something else.

Ive only had an issue with one of the many RP's I used to smoke.
I think it got wet at some point because it turned super sour at some point.

At one point RP was my favorite cigar maker - Decade being my favorite of the bunch.

Now I dont think I have even 1 in my humi and dont plan on getting anymore of his stuff anytime soon.

Buddy of mine got 2 RP 15's and both wrappers peeled all the way off about 1/4 the way through.

Maybe they were improperly stored before you bought them, and the time in your humidor wasn't able to undo the damage?

You know that is probably the most reasonable explanation i've heard. Thank you. I dont know if they were bad from the get go or if this is a normal problem. I think that is what I was seeking. But looks like I just got some crapy ones I have three more so we will see.

If they are truely dried out would keeping them in my humidor for a longer period of time help the thing not come undone? They dont taste bad they are good they are just unruly.

It depends how far gone they were...if they were extremely dried out, and then rehumidified at high humidity (you said 72%, right?) very quickly, the wrapper may have "contracted" amd expanded and might not be salvagable...but that would be the extreme for a newer cigar, it is certainly worth a try to see if they become more smokable.
