We just got the word that we will be taking custody of my cousin's boys, a 4 and 6 year old. They have been living on the living room floor of their mom's mice infested house. Mom left them alone and the youngest one lit his shirt on fire Jan 5th. After series of skin grafts, he is healing well. The kids will probably be ours in a week or two. The judge will terminate her parental rights after four months of trying to get her sober. We believe, they'll be ours for the duration, since their mom won't try to get better.

I cleaned out my cigar budget and purchased three boxes of LFD DL 700 maduros at $105 a box. I don't expect to have much disposable income for a while so I opted for my favorites rather than a cab of RASS.

Smoke one for me and the wife fellas. It will be a tough few years trying to give those boys every opportunity to succeed in life. They've got a lot of demons to purge and a lot of habits to correct.

Krishna, I'm glad to hear that you'll be able to give them a stable home . Best wishes during what I'm sure will be trying, but enjoyable times.

Krishna, glad to hear those boys have your big shoulders to lean on. Your stepping up to the plate is so refreshing to see in a world filled with selfishness. My prayers are with you and your newly grown family.

Could not have said it better myself..

Prayers for you and your family. And of course prayers for their mother, hopefully she can eventually get herself clean, not just for her, but for her family too.

Wow, that's a giant thing for you to do Krishna, but in the time I've known you-Giant seemed to be the way you do everything! There are coming to a house with big hearts.

You and your wife are 2 amazing people. Those children are extremely fortunate to have you in their corner, to support and love them.

What you two are doing is inspirational.

That is a great thing you are doing, sadly many people would just let social services take the children. Hope that the mother can get her act together and be a mother to those boys but happy that they'll have a stable loving home

I wish nothing but the best for you. Family comes before anything else in life. I do not see how people neglect their children. I love my kids more then anything. You are a great man for stepping up and doing this.
