My wife got this for me as a birthday gift. I had myfriend Tommy ( Local Cabinet Maker) make the Spanish Cedar drawers. Im currently seasoning it. I think Tommy did a great job. He is now taking orders on a limited basis....so if you want to contact him let me know. I wanted the shelves to be thicker to hold humidity well. Cant wait to get some sticks in there.

Thanks guys. Im pretty pleased to say the least. Today I will slowly start replacing my Sponges with trays of litter and beads. Im shooting for around 65. There is a slight variation 1-2% from top to bottom. Im hoping my fans (Oust) will help that. Ill keep you posted.

Ok so the Hygro read 77 for the last 12hrs and didnt climb much. So i started with 1lb of litter and 8 hrs later they are starting to charge and the Hygro is reading 74 so far so good.

Very nice. If I had one small critique, it would be that the trays seem very thick in their construction. I don't have experience with them (yet), but it seems overly robust in the construction. Not a huge deal, but certainly could affect the amount of storage you get out of them.

Don't mind the critique at all. I asked for thicker SC. My thoughts were that it would hold RH better and not fluctuate as much ( once seasoned ) when the cooler is opened and closed. I also will not have to use as much beads or litter. So far it has proven true. This morning im down to 72% and im almost there. Friends with similar drawers in 1/4" construction are using twice the amount of beads to hold humidity
Finally, if a drawer happens to get dropped ( by accident or 1 of my curious/hell raising boys) im not out another 40 bucks plus shipping to have it replaced. These bad boys are solid. If you look at the total square ( " ) of storage between 3/4 and 1/4 construction you are talking maybe 6 or so sticks per drawer depending on RG & length. I'm not at that point to be concerned... yet :)

Just my thoughs for what its worth. Thanks for the inquiry. It may help another BOTL decide when its time to lay out plans for his project. BUT....if you want 1/4 shelves Tommy can make it happen. (Shameless plug for a friend ) ;)

With all of the pictures of wooden cabinets and mini-fridges being posted, can't somebody "accidentally" slip some naughty photos of the wife that "just happened to be" on the same SD card. I mean, this is the age of the digital camera.

Disclaimer: Please don't really do that! This message was made only in jest. (Besides, the internet is all too littered with that kind of garbage already. Not in my forums, thank you!)
Nice..... I'm sure you wouldn't have too many complaints. Well depending in the wife. Just saying.
