not alot maybe 1/4 inch diameter, usually slighlty angled. I cut them with a V cut sometimes also.In the past, I cut past the cap(s), which I suppose defeats the purpose of the figurado shape (and also creates an increased risk of unraveling).
How far down do you cut your torpedos?
V cutter on a torpedo? Hmmmm.I cut mine at an angle approximately 1/8th to 1/4 of an inch depending on pre-draw. Afterwards, depending on draw, I may cut away more.
When I am at the shop I will use the V-Cutter they have on the counter.
I'm slowly moving into this camp... don't like the tapered feel.I don't smoke torpedoes, mate. Only Churchills.
Yup same way. I tend to clip little at a time til I get my desired draw.I test cut. I'll snip the tip a little at a time and test the draw.
Haven't used the community cutter since I read the thread here about 'licking your cap'.When I am at the shop I will use the V-Cutter they have on the counter.
Heard that called a 'dick-cut'. Apparently named for someone named Dickson or Dickman....not for whatever reason you were trying to think of first :widemouthnot alot maybe 1/4 inch diameter, usually slighlty angled.
Thumbs up! I think the Vcutter and the Torpedo were made for each other! When I am at the shop I will use the V-Cutter they have on the counter.
I usually end up taking between 1/8 and 1/4" off. I go by the same advice my dad gave me regarding cutting lumber...you can always cut more off, you cannot always put it back on.

Double ditto...Yup same way. I tend to clip little at a time til I get my desired draw.
