I see most of the recommendations are smokes with big nic kicks. Can you guys recommend some flavor bombs without the gut punching power?
La Aurora 107, Alec Bradley Tempus, Nestor Miranda Special Selections, La Aurora 107, Padilla Miami, Diamond Crown Maximus & the La Aurora 107.

This is right in my sweet spot too, i love the flavor without the massive kick. These have all been said, but I think they were vreat recommendations:
Tat Black if you could find them. DPG Blue label, Aroma de Cuba Mi Amore. Oliva V are great. Alec Bradley Family Blend. CAO Brazilia. Just a few of the ones I know dont blast you with pepper but are delicious

A full bodied cigar is going to have a high nic kick. Thats what full bodied means in cigar terms. If you want full flavor medium body try a la riqueza or dpg black.

No, body does not mean strength.

A cigar can be full bodied by medium strength.

I am sorry but your statement is incorrect. Body refers to the strength of a cigar, period.

No, I'm sorry, but that is a common misconception with cigars.

Read this thread.

Body = depth of flavour, the "weight" of the flavours and smoke output.

Strength = nicotine kick.

How long have you been smoking cigars?
:wtf: Really?

EDIT: Sigh...just revisited the body vs. strength thread.

Since it seems you're very insistent that you're right and I'm wrong, I'm just going to say "whatever" and drop it, since it's apparently a futile discussion.

Frankly I can't see why anyone would be so bothered as to be "appalled" by people referring to nicotine strength as "strength", but again, whatever...

don't really understand why there have to be arguments over semantics. in the long run, who really cares? do YOU think it's strong, flavorful, good, bad. give your opinion. everyone has one, and it's only a wrong opinion according to someone ELSE! let it go!!!!

i think the federal 109 has tremendous flavor, but not tremendous strength. my opinion.

That was an honest question and i dont think that outrageous as it is relevant, given that you were so curt in correcting me.

As far as the issue at hand i will agree to drop it. It seems that the trend is to use body as a flavor description, and like a tsunami i cannot stop it. Much like 6x60 cigars, these little things are changing the traditions and lingo of cigar smoking maybe for the better, its not my job to judge. However, i will still say this: if you go around describing a cigar as full bodied but medium strength you might get some weird looks among seasoned smokers. Atleast i know i would among my herfin buddies.

No hard feelings and good day to all.

I wouldn't hang out with people who are going to be "appalled" or judge me for thinking I used a term incorrectly.

I don't like people who take things that seriously.
