There will probably be some "beginner" cigar smokers who think that that pack they're offering actually IS Cuban - not "of Cuban heritage." So there might be quite a few pissed off new guys who think they're actually getting Cubans, and get an April Fool's Prank.

Yeah I think we should totally be able to discuss a retailer, but to call them shady with no supporting comments, isn't really fair. And the whole thing was off topic.

Famous is one of the most stand up companies around. Been using them since I started the hobby 3 years ago and not once ran into an issue. Great pricing, great customer service, fast and well packaged shipping.

The link I posted was from an email. I sat there dumbfounded by what I had read. Nothing about an April Fool mentioned in the "news" article. Course you're not informed till AFTER the digestion of said "news."

Sure they got me, and I'm finding it to be somewhat funny in retrospect. I won't hold it against them (much). I'll get over it. But it was, IMO, meaner than those bogus "scratch-off winning lottery tickets" which bear no resemblance to a real ticket.

I have to chuckle at how many responses this thread has, tho.

I could be wrong but the point is the name relationship of the cigars to a Cuban name. I think it's clever! I don't smoke those so I won't order it, but a cool idea for a pack in this case, IMO.
