5 Vegas is distributed by Meier & Dutch Wholesale, also part of the same conglomerate as CI. MDW distributes to CI and Cigars.com, their only online retailers, I presume. But it's not impossible for other B&M's to sell them, as evidenced by the lengthy retailers list on the 5 Vegas website.

CI definately pimps their own stuff, but I have to admit that a lot of their "house" brands are excellent. The Man o' War line is great (the Ruination is just plain awesome), the Deisel is great, and the 5 Vegas line is solid though I don't smoke them much anymore.
I agree on the CI house brand statement. Not only do they do an outstanding job as far as house brands are concerned, but they can go toe to toe with some of the better sticks out there. I am floored by the quality and price of some of the things that they roll out(but there are some misses as well). This is contrary to Famous, who pretty much only has bundled dog rockets as their house brands. Pretty much all garbage.

According to sweedish match annual reports. CI is the parent company. CI came first later acquired the cigar.com domain name and later the wholesale wing was started. CI is listed throughout the report as the parent.

Thats kind of one sided, famous has the CX2 which is very good along with the famous nicaraguan line which are possibly the best house cigars out there.

Agree with Dread, Cuke. While I enjoy a couple of 5V's and MoW's, I have to say that I've had more Famous 'exclusives' that I'd buy again than CI/Ccom house names; Capoeira, Nic 3K's, RP Cuban blend maduro, Private Selection Nic....off the top of my head....
