Chery-poppin' week!

I'm got a fun cigar week lined up and thought I might see if anyone wanted to join the general concept.

One of my favorite things about this hobby is the aspect of exploration ... there are always more cigars to try! This week I'm smoking all firsts ... i.e. cigars I've never smoked before in my life!

Already this week I've had the LAdC Mi Amor (which was really good, btw). And over the next week or so I have lined up:

H. Upmann #2
HdM (either EE or Epi #1)
Diplomaticos #4
Tatuaje Anarchy
Tatuaje Black PL
Viaje Holiday Blend 2010 PR

So anyone want to join me and smoke some sticks this week that you've never had before?

Actually I was thinking maybe someone had some stuff in the humidor that they've been waiting to try, and maybe now is the time!

Digging into a Viaje Satori that I've had in the humi for a while, first time I've had one. Its the toro sized... zen I think its called?

I know the feeling I just had the most bland cigar ever due to a cold. I usually love the AB Tempus and tonight it was just plain MEH!

I was also planning on smoking an H. Upmann No. 2 this week. It's my only one, and it catches my eye everytime I open my humidor.

I seem to stick to my usual suspects. Hard to bring myself to smoke off some of my prized cigars. I like looking in and seeing a variety.

I haven't slept for 3 days so, If I can sleep tonight I'll have a LFD Ligero Robusto tomorrow, which I've yet to try but been eying for quite some time. Yum!

Insomnia is a bitch.

I am diagnosed with insomnia too so I feel your pain. Get good sleeping pills from your doc like ambien. If you can't get those get Kirkland brand Doxylamine succinate from costco, those are what I use most of the time when I cant sleep. Cant go wrong with a 192 pack for dirt cheap.

You know it never gets easy either. I've actually bombed prized cigars without ever having the pleasure of smoking one. It's hard to fire up a stick you may never get again or provide someone a pleasure greater than your own. I've been serious with this hobby for over two years now, and really did'nt get involved with the HTF or Expensive stuff till Spring of 2010. Anyways I think I have done well hunting for most stuff but it always seems like it's just one or two sticks. As they sit in my humi like prized possessions, I just can never get my self to smoke them.
I think I need to re-evaluate my stock and find a first for this friday...I will let you know!

^ I know exactly what you mean, Ciggy. I've been getting a little better this year when it comes to expensive sticks that are not that HTF (i.e. I know they are replaceable if I like them enough to warrant the cost). But I'm still not that great at smoking HTFs.

I did finaly smoke one of my two Viaje S&Bs when I was in Vegas ... it was a great stick! The nice thing about that is that I know they'll be released again (even if they're not quite the same, as many have said).
